How We Use Cookies

Last updated: May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones CoinChest uses, and how you can control them. Read alongside our Privacy Policy for the full picture of how we handle your data.

Short version: CoinChest uses a small number of essential cookies (and equivalent browser storage) to keep you logged in, remember your region, and track your coin balance. We don't use cookies for ad tracking, and we don't sell cookie data to anyone.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things about your visit — like your settings, what page you were on, or whether you're logged in. Most modern sites also use localStorage and sessionStorage, which work similarly but live in the browser's own storage rather than as files.

CoinChest uses mostly localStorage rather than traditional cookies. The policy below covers both — for legal purposes, "cookies" here means any data we ask your browser to store.

2. What we store
NamePurposeDuration
cc_sessionYour sign-in session (an encrypted, http-only cookie). This is what keeps you logged in.Expires after the session period, or on logout
cc_account_idYour account identifier, cached so pages can load your balance and sync with our offerwall partner.Persistent (cleared on logout)
cc_user_countryYour region (chosen at signup), so we can show surveys that match your location.Persistent (cleared on logout)
cc_balanceCached coin balance so the UI feels instant. Always refreshed from our server when you're online.Persistent
cc_tasksWhich bonus tasks you've claimed.Persistent
cc_cpx_settingsAdmin-only — stores admin panel configuration. Not set for regular users.Persistent
3. Third-party cookies

When you complete surveys through our offerwall partner (CPX Research / Make Opinion), they may set their own cookies on their domain — typically for fraud prevention, attribution, and survey-state tracking. Those are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. We don't share your data with them beyond your anonymous user ID and (with your consent) your chosen region.

We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, or any third-party analytics scripts. The only outbound network calls from CoinChest are to: our own server, the CPX Research API, and Google Fonts (for the typefaces — no cookies set).

4. Controlling cookies

You can clear our cookies and stored data at any time from your browser's settings — typically under "Privacy" or "Clear browsing data". Doing so will sign you out and reset your local cache, but your account, coin balance, and redemption history remain safe on our server and re-sync next time you sign in.

Disabling cookies entirely will break login, redemption history, and progress tracking — the site won't function correctly without them.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add features that need new storage, or when laws change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. We won't quietly add tracking cookies — any new entries will appear in the table above.
